Prosperity rises and crime falls
THE view of Ken Clarke, the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, that prison is not the only way to reduce crime has been supported by the latest crime statistics.
The 40 per cent fall in crime during Labour's period of Government is down to the excellent work of our police, community support officers and others fighting crime. It is also due to the rise in prosperity during Labour's time, thanks to a decade of steady growth and high employment levels.

“This is not a letter. It is a press release.
It has already been published in several other papers.
It is time this political propaganda was banned by the Editor.”
