MICHAEL Johnson is setting a fine example.

The former Notts County defender is now the club's youth team manager. He is using his position to send out a strong message to young people throughout the county: you can make a difference.

Mr Johnson is doing that at home and abroad. He is taking part in a "sleep-out" to raise money for YMCA hostels in Nottingham and Mansfield and he is planning to run 50 miles in a fund-raiser for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
