Police spend £55,000 on newspaper for residents
NOTTS Police has spent around £55,000 producing a free newspaper for every household in the county.
Delivery of nearly 500,000 copies of Policing for You, which the force says cost 11p a copy to make, starts on Monday.

Chief Constable Julia Hodson
It contains information about how the force is tackling crime, and working with other organisations and the public.
A limited edition was piloted last year in part of Ashfield.
Some 15,000 homes received a copy and 1,000 residents were surveyed for their views, 90% saying they thought it was an effective way of providing information and 71%that they felt well informed as a result.
Chief Constable Julia Hodson said: "I want people in Nottinghamshire to know what we are doing on their behalf, about the successes we are having in combating crime and making communities safer, about the challenges we have to meet and about how, together, we can make this one of the safest counties in which to live and work.
"I hope the public find it an enjoyable and informative read."

“Meeki, it's not gone out across the county yet; it's just been piloted in Ashfield.
And, Lee I suspect this pilot was started in advance of the policing report by HMIC.”

“'If only we could all move from wasters like you'
I have a full-time job, and a mortgage for a house I bought in the middle of the oh-so-hard recession. Becuase I saved my hard-earned wages to buy it.
I chose to move to Nottingham because I like the city, (not because of New Labour!!! Ha!) . I pay taxes too, and I think the police force do the best job they can.”
