A £1,000 reward has been offered for help catching a suspected burglar and car thief.

Wayne Green, of no fixed address, is wanted on suspicion of burglary and theft at a property in Zouch, near Sutton Bonington, on July 23 last year.

Police also want to speak with him over the theft of a vehicle in Normanton on October 25, a series of assaults in October and criminal damage to two vehicles on November 4.

The 41-year-old is also wanted by Derbyshire Police for breaching a violent offender order, which was granted by Derby magistrates to prevent him from approaching or contacting a number of individuals as well as a restriction on entering Long Eaton.

In a joint operation to find Green, 60 police officers from Notts and Derbyshire have executed warrants at seven addresses.

Two woman, aged 59 and 39, were arrested during the raids on suspicion of assisting an offender. They remain in custody.

Green, who is also known as Stephen Cross, was last known to be in the Beeston Rylands area, but may have strayed into Derbyshire.

He is described as white, 5ft 8in and of medium build. He is bald with a goatee-style beard and a tattoo on his left arm.

The £1,000 reward has been offered by Notts Crimestoppers on the arrest and charging of Green.

Anyone who has seen Wayne Green or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Notts or Derbyshire Police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
