Police issue e-fit of Wilford petrol station robbery suspect
AN e-fit has been released of a member of a gang who posed as police to raid a petrol station.
The incident happened at the Silverdale Service Station, in Clifton Lane, Wilford, at 10pm on March 6.
The gang tied up a staff member and stole cash and tobacco after they placed cones on the forecourt so they would not be disturbed. Two men wore police-style radios.
One of the gang was of medium to stocky build, with short dark hair and aged between 31 to 35. His hair was spiky and he wore a black suit, white shirt, thin purple tie with blue diagonal stripes and black shoes.
A second man was 31 to 35, 6ft and had a thin but well-built physique. He wore a white shirt and black jeans with a black police stab-proof vest.
Anyone with information should call 0300 300 9999 and ask for The Meadows CID.
