Police in appeal to catch bag-snatcher in Langley Mill

DETECTIVES are making a fresh appeal for information after a 74-year-old woman had her handbag snatched.

The robbery took place as the woman got out of her car in Turner Avenue, Langley Mill, on Monday, November 26 at about 9pm.

She was approached by a man who grabbed her handbag out of her left hand. The woman fell to the floor and suffered minor injuries.

The man fled with the handbag in the direction of Andrews Drive.

The offender is white, around 5ft 7in wearing a dark coat with the hood up and a black scarf over his mouth.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Derbyshire police on 101.
