A WOMAN who runs a children's group in Mapperley has been nominated for a Reach Out award.

Lesley Rhodes from Arnold nominated Eileen Oliver, who has run the Grapevine Children's Group since she set it up over 20 years ago.

Mrs Oliver is also chairperson of Gedling Play Forum.

Ms Rhodes said: "She is a very hands on volunteer working at Gedling Play Forum every Tuesday and some Thursdays, and always volunteers to help run children's craft activities."
