Pictures released of most wanted suspects in Notts train thefts
POLICE have released the pictures of a number of their “most wanted” people suspected of stealing on Notts trains.
British Transport Police officers published the details as part of a new crackdown on travel thefts.
Detectives say items like suitcases, bags, mobile phones and laptops are the things stolen most often.
But in many cases CCTV covers the trains and stations and can catch thieves in the act.

As part of the force’s ‘Operation Impact’ a gallery of CCTV pictures shows people the police want to speak to about a string of incidents.
Chief Inspector Glen Alderson said: “Officers investigating each of these cases have followed a number of lines of enquiry and circulated the images on police intelligence systems, and in some cases to the media, but so far without success.
“We’re now asking for help from members of the public.
“If you know any of these people and can tell us who they are, we want to hear from you.”
Anyone with any information about the incidents, or who recognises anyone pictured in the CCTV images, should contact British Transport Police on 0800 405040 quoting background log B2/NEA of 08/03/2013.
They are then asked to give the reference number on the image.
