Pictured: Car crashes into car wash at Arnold supermarket
This was the scene of destruction at Sainsbury's, in Arnold, after a car crashed through the side of a car wash. Firefighters were called to the store at about 8.30am yesterday. The Seat Leon had been coming out of the car park when the crash happened. Arnold Fire Station watch manager Harry Tickersgill attended the scene. "The car was coming out of the car park when the man driving lost control and went in to the car wash," he said. "We were called to make the scene safe and because there were concerns the car had caught fire but it hadn't, the engine had just overheated and there was tyre smoke." No one was injured. It is not yet known when the car wash will reopen.

“It's usually old people getting confused and pressing the wrong pedal and the refusing to acknowledge its the wrong pedal and keep it down.”

“I'm still at a loss as to how this happened. No wonder car insurance prices around here are so high with idiots like this in the area. Shame there were no pictures of the man who was driving, he should be named and shamed”

“The car in the picture is a Seat Ibiza not a Leon.
Come on NEP just a little basic research please.”
