Period building in Lace Market to be head office
COMMERCIAL property agent Innes England has completed the freehold sale of 46-48 High Pavement, Nottingham, (pictured) to energy company Torse. The property, a period building in the Lace Market area of the city centre, has been bought as Torse's new head office.
Torse grew out of Yorkshire Electricity in the early days of de-regulation and specialises in energy procurement, management and sustainability.

The company works with businesses to review and identify how best to make energy savings.
Ann Taylor, of Innes England, acted on behalf of a long-standing private investor client in the deal. She said: "After a consistent period of leasehold occupation, the property fell vacant following the relocation of a solicitors firm so we were able to bring the site to the market with vacant possession.
"High Pavement remains an established and sought after business area of the city, where we have experienced much success over the years in disposing of office premises.
"This High Pavement property generated good levels of interest and was sold at the level recommended to the client."
Mark Johnson, director of Torse, said: "We are delighted with our new premises. It suits our needs perfectly."
Torse has begun initial work on the building and a planning is being sought for further work. Torse plan to relocate all their operations staff from Oak Street in Sherwood at the end of the summer.
