Penthouse nightclub in Broadway, Nottingham, stays open despite complaints about noise
A LACE Market nightclub has kept its licence despite complaints about late noise.
The future of Penthouse in Broadway was discussed by a special Nottingham City Council licensing panel this week.

Neighbours ave been complaining since September 2011 about the noise, primarily from the queue and outside smoking area.
However, councillors decided not to revoke its licence on Monday. Instead, the club must have a "noise limiting device" fitted, to electronically limit sound levels supplied to the speakers, to prevent music being played too loud.

“@NEP - your usual standard of terrible journalism. Please note that nobody requested that they closed, it was never on the table. The requested conditions, bar one, were imposed.
Please bother to read the documents before conjuring up these headlines.”
