Parts of Old Radford Mill damaged in fire

PARTS of an old Victorian mill complex in Radford have been burnt down after a fire today.Firefighters were called out to the blaze at around 5.40pm to the Old Radford Mill, in Alfreton Road.Three crews attended the incident, along with one officer.One corner of the building, which is currently being knocked down, was burnt down as a result of the fire.The cause is not yet known.The Post reported last year how the city council wanted to demolish the building to make space for housing.It said pulling down the building would cost about £400,000.
