Panthers star Myers lands dream US job
NOTTINGHAM Panthers star British centreman Matthew Myers has won himself a dream job in North America.
He has signed for ECHL side Bakerfield Condors in California – and he goes with the best wishes of the club.

Although signing for Panthers for a sixth season, it was on the condition he could go abroad if a job came up.
Myers said: "I'm thrilled, excited and nervous – but gutted that I will be leaving Panthers.
"But at 24, I'm getting older and these positions don't come along for Brits very often. When I told the club, they couldn't have been more supportive."
General manager Gary Moran said: "We wish him well and it's good to know we have played a big part in his development.
"He has been a great servant to the club and the door will be always open for him to return."
As Myers does not have to report to Bakersfield training camp until October 1, there is the possibility he could play for Panthers in the early weeks of the season.
"It would be nice to play here before I go but obviously I have to talk to both clubs," Myers added.
Cardiff-born Myers didn't turn full time until late last season after he'd finished his exams to become a qualified surveyor.
Although the ECHL has a 'veterans' rule, meaning only four players with more than 260 professional games can be signed by one club, Myers' games in Britain apparently do not count.
