Panthers snap up Scottish forward
NOTTINGHAM Panthers player-coach Corey Neilson looked no further than his own British players for confirmation before signing Scottish power-forward Ross Dalgliesh.
The 21-year-old played only 18 times for home-town Edinburgh last term, after suffering a dislocated shoulder.

HAPPY: Corey Neilson
But Neilson's own Brits, Danny Meyers and David Clarke, verified he could do a job for Panthers.
"The GB boys have been impressed with him over the years," said Neilson.
"He played against us three times last season before damaging his shoulder and he was one of Edinburgh's better British players.
"When he got injured, he took the opportunity to finish his apprenticeship as an electrician.
"He jumped at the chance to join us and, hopefully, with more regular training he will take a step up and become even better."
Son of former Murrayfield Racers player David Dalgliesh, the young winger is highly-regarded by Edinburgh player-coach Doug Christiansen.
He said: "He really emerged as a power forward for us and brought an element of toughness to the team.
"He is not flashy but an up-and-down winger who is very good at what he does.
"He finishes his checks and is strong on the walls. He has developed a lot. As he matures, he will be one of the top power forwards in Britain."
Panthers are playing Hull and Dutch side Tillburg, in Hull, over the August bank holiday weekend.
It is their final preparation for the Charity Shield match at home to Sheffield on September 2.

“One of the things I have liked about the Panthers recently is our development and signing of British players. I wouldn't be surprised if we were one of the best at that, and yet we are reasonably successful!
May be us and the rest of the Ice Hockey teams can teach the premiership in football something?
Come on you Panthers!”
