THIS season's Elite League Challenge Cup final between the Nottingham Panthers and the Belfast Giants will take place next month.

The first leg will be at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on Wednesday March 7 at 7:30pm.

The second leg will be at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham on Tuesday March 13 at 7:30pm.

Nottingham are the current cup holders and will be defending their title against last year's runners-up.

Last year's final was a high-octane affair and was decided over the two legs by just a single goal.

Belfast general manager Todd Kelman said: "We have respect for Nottingham's organisation but we will be going all out to beat them this year.

"It's pay-back time for last season, Nottingham have held this trophy for two seasons in a row, we're aiming to prevent them making it a hat-trick of wins in this competition."

Nottingham general manager Gary Moran said: "I'd expect Todd to say nothing less, but cup holders three years in a row has a nice ring to it, we will be going all out to win too. We both know the fans are in for a treat."
