Panthers coach Neilson welcomes back key duo
PLAYER-coach Corey Neilson said it was good to get David Clarke back into the line-up against Edinburgh after the Panthers sharp-shooter had sat out the last 13 games with a niggling knock.
With Dan Tessier also back with a five-point contribution, including three against Belfast on Friday, Panthers can look to the play-offs with renewed confidence.
"It was good to get Clarkie back," said Neilson. "He was just supposed to play a limited role at some point but he was ready to contribute. He looked good and had some chances like the Clarkie of old. His timing is not quite there but it will come.
"Edinburgh did well. It was their first game of the weekend and they were fresh. They play this defensive style with a holding line which is sometimes tough to penetrate. After the first ten-minute spell we started to find our game, getting the puck behind them.''
