PICTURES: Junction 25 of M1 closed following serious crash
THE emergency services have closed part of the M1 near to junction 25 in Nottinghamshire following a serious collision.
The incident happened just before 12 midday today and involved two lorries, one saloon car and one van.

The lorry appeared to have mounted the central reservation
One person was trapped in the car and cut free by fire crews.
The Air Ambulance attended to the second casualty who was in the lorry. All casualties are in the care of the ambulance service.

The police are in attendance and the environment unit from Alfreton are dealing with a diesel spillage.
The road is currently closed in both directions and is expected to be so for a number of hours.
Emergency services are working at the scene.
