LOAN midfielder Isaiah Osbourne today pledged to play his part in Nottingham Forest's fight against relegation.

But he insisted: "I can't see us going down."

The Aston Villa man agreed loan move to the City Ground that will keep him at the club until the end of the season.

And he is poised to make his debut against Preston in the Championship tomorrow evening.

The move has seen Osbourne swap Uefa Cup football with the side flying high in the Premiership for a fight to avoid the drop into League One.

But he remains confident that Forest's Championship future can be secured.

"It is a challenge, coming from a side fourth in the Premiership to one fourth from bottom in the Championship – but that is the challenge, isn't it," he said.

"It is not something to worry about. I can't see Forest being relegated. I want to help them move forwards, it is not a problem.

"The club did not want to let my out on loan when they were in Europe, because the manager wanted to rotate things a little bit.

"I turned up for training today and was told not to get changed but to get myself to Forest.

"I am looking forward to playing some football."
