Oldham wins European gold
NOTTINGHAM'S Sam Oldham was the toast of the European Youth Olympic Festival in Finland tonight as he scooped double gold in the gymnastics.
The 16-year-old was the favourite to take the pommel horse title and he didn't disappoint, scoring 13.775 to push Russia's Igor Pakhomenko and Maksym Semyankiv into silver and bronze respectively.

Oldham – training partner of Olympic bronze medallist Louis Smith who also won his honour on the pommel horse – then went on to top the podium in the parallel bars before a fifth place finish in the horizontal bar.
He said: "It's been awesome. When I arrived I felt really good, much better than the other days.
"I changed my pommel horse routine slightly to ensure it was clean and it went really well and training with Louis helps a lot.
"I'm not ready to compete with him just yet as I won't turn senior until 2011, but hopefully then I'll be able to."
