“BL , for the record,(i) I work and (ii) dont have kids.
Why would you ask that just on the basis of a lack of support for a royal brat, a bit of a dimwitted extrapolation.”

“The Royals cost the tax payer just 69p a year each.
That is still 69p too much.
If i had told you that my wife was expecting would you be interested or would it make the news ? No, you wouldn't be bothered. This is what most people think about these two. We don't know them. They are strangers and we have no interest in them.”

“Realist36, I wont prove that! it has been proven that all politicans have only one interest, which is themselves and are only interested in the money and personal gains. One good thing that monarchy is above all politics!”

“The Royal family are of an immense overall benefit to Britain and the Commonwealth.
Did you see the television coverage of the wedding or the jubilee. Who else gets that many happy and celebrating people on the streets. Who else generates the kind of tourist revenue that they do by just being there?
... and something I have knowledge of is the huge amount of work they do behind the scenes oiling the wheels for British industry abroad. In some circles they carry the kind of credibilty and cache no politician can in high value negotiations.
The Royals cost the tax payer just 69p a year each, the Queen has many personal investments that generate millions a year and the massive profits they raise through tourism and publicity altogether outweighs the actual cost of keeping our heritage.
They peform duties, patronage to charities and raising the profile and the profile of the UK and of UK industry abroad.
You think when the royals go on trips abroad they are just going for a week in the sun and to watch people waving flags? Think again?”

“I am not at all interested/bothered by this news. The Royals are a thing of the past, they are out of touch with the real world. I'll have a large bet the child will not be attending the local Comp or academy.”
