Notts batsman Prince bids to end on a high
OVERSEAS batsman Ashwell Prince is determined to make an impact when Nottinghamshire go in search of the LV County Championship against Hampshire tomorrow.
Prince (left) replaced Adam Voges in August with a brief to score enough runs to keep Notts in the title hunt. Although he admits that his scores have fallen short of his own high expectations, his presence in the dressing room and commitment in the field have made him a valuable addition.

"I've said all along that I think I've joined the best side in the Championship but we haven't achieved anything yet," said Prince. "My objectives were to win trophies and to contribute with big scores and I have been disappointed that I've been getting 20s and 30s and then getting out. I still feel that there is a big score in me and I want to sign off in style."
Regardless of results elsewhere, Notts will be crowned Champions if they beat Hampshire.
"After the game at The Oval, there was a sense of satisfaction in the dressing room but it will be a much sweeter feeling if we win this week," said Prince.
Tomorrow's play at Trent Bridge will start at 10.35am.
