A NURSE has raised more than £1,700 by taking part in a 1,000-mile charity cycle ride.

Angela Horsley, lead nurse at Nottingham Children's Hospital, cycled from Land's End to John O'Groats in May.

The challenge was to raise money to pay for Ginny McGivern, the hospital's complementary therapy nurse.

She provides physical, mental and emotional relief for patients through massage, aromatherapy and relaxation.
