TRYING to use a mobile phone while wearing gloves can leave you all fingers and thumbs.

But not anymore, thanks to a Notts man who has invented gloves designed to overcome that very problem.

Simon Griffin, 31, of Radcliffe-on-Trent, is selling gloves which leave the thumbs and index fingers exposed – perfect for texting.

He and his business partner came up with the idea last December when they got fed up of taking their gloves on and off to use their mobile phones.

Their company, Etre, which also designs websites, is now selling the new gloves.

Mr Griffin, who now lives in London, said: "It was really annoying. Touchscreen phones don't recognise anything other than bare fingers.

"Our target market are fans of technology, and the gloves will make a great Christmas gift."

The blue and charcoal Etre Touchy gloves come in medium or large sizes and are available from www.etretouchy.com
