FAMILIES in Notts are being encouraged to sign up to an energy-saving pledge during the school summer holiday and benefit from lower energy bills over the winter.

The Everybody's Talking About Climate Change campaign includes tips for saving money on heating, cooking and lighting.

Its website explains what climate change is and shows people what they can do about it and what others have done. It also asks people to pledge to cut their carbon emissions.

There are sections for events, schools and a monthly bulletin, with details of climate change groups in Beeston, Gedling, Hockerton, Collingham and Newark.

The campaign is being run by councils in Notts and Derbyshire.. For more details, visit www.everybodys-talking.org.
