“Rodney ... I guess you are thinking of Uriah Rennie's input, but all of Jim Rodwell's comments are aimed at the referee Jeremy Simpson. He made the decision, as only he can of course, in line with the laws of the game.”

“I remember a game in the summer months at Bull s alley where there was a bit of a downpour and the ball was sticking down the Main Stand side and the County Road side, that was after 5 minutes. What chance after 6 hours of rain? Am I correct, but wasn't a friendly called off due to a flooded pitch?”

“Rodney ... If it wasn't the referee who made the decision, who was it ? It has been confirmed that BOTH managers AND the players wanted to play the game. I guess you are thinking it might have been someone like Orient's coach-driver, keen to get home for Christmas perhaps !”

“Why oh why was this called off, i was at the ground at 12 oclock and saw the pitch inspection, no standing water the ball rolled well and good bounce, i understand it was not the referee's decision”

“I just wonder, as it's forcast that we wil have even more rain overnight, if the Egg Chasers will be allowed to ruin the pitch, by playing on it tomorrow. The health and safety won't be interested in a group of overweight men running after a funny shaped ball, playing a game that is more about brute force and very little skill.”

“I expect that the overpaid darlings have to be protected fron getting their shirts wet?
Who knows they might get a chill and develop a nasty cold.!”
