Notts County sign Davies
IAN McParland believes he has landed one of the "most exciting players in League Two" in the form of midfielder Ben Davies.
The Magpies proved they mean business with the pending take-over by Munto Finance after Davies rejected the opportunity to stay at League Two rivals Shrewsbury Town.

Ben Davies
He has signed a three-year deal at Meadow Lane after his contract at the Prostar Stadium expired.
The 28-year-old has scored 31 goals from midfield in the last three seasons with the Shrews.
Manager McParland said: "We've managed to secure the signature of a very talented footballer and we have fought off some very strong competition to bring him here, so I'm delighted.
"Ben's goal-scoring record obviously stands out but there is plenty more to his game than just his goals.
"He can get on the ball and open doors for us and his set-pieces are deadly as well. It is an exciting signing for us."

“Great signing Charlie. Davies will bring quality and goals to our midfield. He had a great record at Shrewsbury, a proven player in this division with the ability to play in the higher divisons.”
