BARTOSZ Bialkowski is certain Notts County will be in the Championship next season.

The Magpies are in sixth spot in League One after 20 games – just five points behind the top two, Tranmere and Doncaster.

They are also unbeaten in their last five league games and goalkeeper Bialkowski, 25, is 100 per cent sure they can clinch promotion.

He said: "We're on a good run and if we keep playing like we are I'm sure the results will keep coming and we will end up in the Championship.

"I really believe that. I'm very positive about our chances as we have got a great group of lads."

The Pole also thinks the loan signing of striker Chris Iwelumo makes Notts even stronger.

"We already had a good squad and it is even better now we have Chris," he added.

"He's a fantastic striker and he was perfect against Swindon. We're glad we've got him.

"It's not easy for the gaffer to pick his best 11 because we have so many fantastic options, but it's a good problem for him to have."

Bialkowski has played every game this season, since joining Notts on a three-year deal in the summer, and he has kept seven clean sheets in the league.

He also claimed a shut-out in the Magpies' FA Cup first round win at Portsmouth, which has set up a second round tie at League Two Rotherham United on Saturday.

"It's great, but I'm not thinking about numbers," he said.

"I'm just concentrating on every game and that's my target, to keep a clean sheet in our next game."
