Notts CCC weigh up overseas options
MICK Newell will not make a decision over Nottinghamshire's overseas player until he has looked at the fixture list for 2013.
The ECB is set to publish the fixtures for the new season at some point this month.
And the Notts director of cricket says while a batsman is the likely option, who they go for will depend on who Notts are playing and when.
Talks have been held with two former players – Australians David Hussey and Adam Voges – but their availability, and that of current Notts internationals, will have to be weighed up when looking at the County Championship, one-day and T20 competitons.

"There are a lot of factors going into it and we have spoken to Hussey and Voges," said Newell.
"We have got to look at where the commitments are with players involved with international matches.
"So once we get the fixtures, we will sit down and look at it and see who could be missing and when and what the best way forward is.
"No decision will be made until then.
"Obviously we have Samit Patel and Alex Hales who will be involved in England's T20 games, James Taylor with the Lions and potentially England.
"That could leave us quite short in terms of batsmen so that is what we are looking for unless the fixtures do throw out something completely random."
