Notts AC make it a double at Wollaton Park
Athletics: Notts AC's senior teams both won in this year's North Midlands Cross Country Championship at Wollaton Park.
The men retained the trophy while the ladies improved from last year's second place.
Arron Scott and Nicki de la Salle both came home in first place, Scott completing the 10km course in 33.46 minutes. Salle finished the 6km in 21.21 minutes followed by Anna Rainey (seventh) and Jane Pidgeon (12th) as the other scoring athletes.
In the men's race, all but one of the top six places were taken by Notts athletes, Scott followed by Mat O'Dowd (third), Sam Mitchell (fourth), Tim Hartley (fifth) and Blayne Pick (sixth) to complete the team scoring.
Paddy Clark, Michael Constante and Corey Plewinski enjoyed success by winning the U17 men's race on the day to take third overall in the championship.
In the junior competitions, Georgia Clarke finished second in the U15 girls' race and Bella Reed came fifth for the U11 girls.
