This man is wanted in connection with six armed robberies in Nottingham.
The incident happened in the hair and beauty salon in Sherwood Rise at about 6pm on Friday, January 27.
Police believe it is linked with five other robberies.
The woman said: "The man came in and I thought he was just a customer. I turned my back to look for something and as I turned round I saw he had the gun.
"He said 'give me the money' and I told him I didn't have any. He said he didn't believe me and that I must have some in the back.
"It was terrifying. I thought if he didn't get what he wanted he may kill me."
The offender got away with about £350 in cash as well as hair extensions and products.
That incident was the most recent of the six which police believe are linked. The first happened in a premises in St Ann's, which the owner doesn't want identifying, at about 7.50pm on Friday, November 25. The robber left with cash.
A money transfer agent in Bentinck Road, Hyson Green, was robbed of cash at about 5.40pm on Monday, December 5.
Shades Hair Salon, in Alfreton Road, Radford, was attacked at about 5.30pm on Friday, December 16, with cash and jewellery being taken.
Cash and a CCTV security tape were taken from the Caribbean Di Lite takeaway in Sneinton Boulevard at 6.30pm on Tuesday, January 3.
And cash, jewellery, a mobile phone and beauty products were snatched from Peace and Beauty Salon in Carlton Road, Sneinton at 6.20pm on Thursday, January 5.
Detective Chief Inspector Rob Griffin fears the offender may strike again if he isn't caught.
He said: "Catching him is the only way we can be sure it won't happen again.
"There are a lot of similarities in what happened.
"That is why we believe they may be linked."
The robber was black, of slim build and with a square face. He spoke with a Jamaican accent.
During each robbery, he wore washed-out blue jeans, a dark waist-length coat and dark knitted gloves.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
