NOTTINGHAM'S bid to be a host city in the 2018 World Cup includes:

a new 45,000-capacity green stadium near Gamston which would become Nottingham Forest's new home after the tournament.

making the new stadium the base for the women's game in England – it would become a 'Wembley for Women'.

fan festival sites at the Victoria Embankment, Wollaton Park, Skegness, and Clumber Park, including big screens and entertainment.

a World Cup park along the River Trent featuring campsites, entertainment and football tournaments. It would link Trent Bridge with Holme Pierre Pont and the stadium with cycling, walking and river boat transport.

“Hi. I am a Notts County fan and think it's great that Notiingham are bidding for a host city at the 2018 world cup. But I don't agree with Forest getting a new stadium and we don't. Surely we should get the new stadium because I think we're in bigger need.”
