NOTTINGHAM has topped the list of "Twitter trends", the most talked-about topics on social networking site Twitter.

Using the tag line #ifyou knownottingham people have been sharing their memories and experiences of the city.

The hash-tag phrase has now been "trending" for two days, meaning it is among the most popular topics being tweeted about across the world.

Things mentioned include traditional cobs, the Old Market Square; the city's theatres and the "xylophone man", Frank Robinson, who used to busk in Lister Gate.
