Nottingham bassist to play at Arnold Theatre on Thursday

A YOUNG Nottingham-born musician, who moved to London, is to return to Arnold's Bonington Theatre to give a jazz performance on Thursday.

Bassist Mark Lewandowski, originally from Carlton, is coming back to the theatre as he nears completion of his three years of jazz study at the Guildhall.

 Brian Pearce, secretary at Jazz Steps, who regularly perform at the theatre, said: "We mentored him before he left for London. He is a remarkable young lad.

"Everyone is very excited to welcome him back.
