Table tennis: Nottingham Trent took gold medals in all five events – a feat never been achieved before – at the British Universities National Championships at the Jubilee Campus Sports Centre of Nottingham University.

Entry in both singles' events was up by 40% on last year and the entry in the three doubles had to be curtailed to fit all the matches in, despite extending the playing time.

There were 270 entries from universities from all over the country and 700 matches were played.

Both Nottingham universities entered strong teams but it was Trent who swept the board.
