NOTTINGHAM Forest have completed the signing of USA striker Robbie Findley, subject to securing a work permit.

The 25-year-old international has penned a two-and-a-half year deal at the City Ground.

A number of other clubs, including Premier League Bolton, were interested in Findley, who was a free agent after rejecting the offer of a new deal with MLS side Real Salt Lake.

Findley scored 29 goals in 91 games for Real Salt Lake, including 12 last season when he was joint-third highest scorer in the league.

His most important strike came in the final of the MLS Cup when he scored to earn a 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy, before Real went on to win on penalties.

Findley provides Forest with another attacking option at a time when Dexter Blackstock is likely to be ruled out for at least 12 months.

“At the end of the day noddy, iv'e got nothing against tyson i think he's a nice person and love's the club. But i think as a top earner he doesn't do enough goal scoring wise and performance wise to command a new contract as one of the top earners. We all want the best for the club as forest supporters at the end of the day. And as for ram rod, 10 loses already this season and below forest having played 2 games more than us. Your sh@t defence not no whats hit it o the 29th when, earnshaw, tudgay, ramsey, majewski, mcgugan and anderson rip your w@nk defence to bits son. And your right mate clough is amazing, 10 years in non league doing nothing and then 3 years with derby in the bottom half of the championship. Yeah he's great amazing in fact. ha ha ha ha ha”

“Ah well maybe your'e right Martyn. I think he's under performing but I'm sure he's got something more in his locker, I'd have him practising taking on players and pinging in crosses all day long. His speed is for the wing. I don't see him as robust enough for a centre forward.”
