Nottingham Forest under-21 side beaten 1-0 by Birmingham despite inclusion of experienced trio
Football: Darius Henderson, Lewis McGugan and Jamaal Lascelles were part of a Nottingham Forest under-21 side beaten by Birmingham.
A fairly experienced Reds side were narrowly beaten 1-0 at the Nigel Doughty Academy and all three players were heavily involved.
Lascelles produced an early block to steer a goal-bound free kick onto the bar.
Henderson twice came close to scoring in the first half, with a header and a low drive and McGugan lifted a shot narrowly over after skipping through on goal early in the second period.

But the decisive moment came in the 69th minute, when substitute Marcel Henry-Francis ran on to Eddy Gnahore's through ball to fire beyond Dimitar Evtimov.
Kieran Wallace, who had stood out in the FA Youth Cup win over Rochdale last week, was the closest to drawing Forest level.
He hit the bar in the 81st minute, with a driven shot from the edge of the box, before firing over after attacking a Henderson lay-off.
