New youth centre for Clifton
COUNCILLORS have given the go-ahead for a new youth centre in Clifton that will be the first of its kind in Nottingham.
The youth 'Centre of Excellence' is expected to cost £852,000, and will enable all Clifton's youth services to be based at one site.

It will be the first big capital investment into a local youth centre in the city.
At a meeting of Clifton and Wilford area committee last night, councillors voted to agree to plans recommending the centre be built.
The plans include Notts Police Authority buying the Roundabout Youth Centre, on the corner of Southchurch Drive and Farnborough Road, to build a new police station.
All youth provision will move to the Centre of Excellence in Green Lane.

“ask the councillors and the youth leaders how many kids actually use green lane, more kids use roundabout but the idea of a "centre of excellence" is another feather in the councils cap so that will get preference!! who is paying for this in these times of recession? guess............muggins again!!!”
