Football: Ilkeston FC, of the Evo-Stik Premier Division, have confirmed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Irish firm O'Neills to handle not only their kit but also an exciting new range of branded leisurewear.

The current playing kit will remain unchanged for the rest of this season but new Ilkeston FC leisurewear is already available on-line and will be on sale from the club shop from December 14.

Robins chairman Dave Mantle said: "We are keen to provide the best possible service to our supporters and believe the new deal will significantly improve and extend our offering.

"We've been delighted since the birth of the club with the amount of sales of kit and merchandise but this season in particular, we haven't always been able to satisfy demand as quickly and efficiently as we would have liked.

"Having met with O'Neills and listened to what they can offer us, we are confident it will be good for us and our supporters to work closely with them. They have lots of exciting ideas and we have been impressed by the quality and range of products they can offer."

O'Neills, who are based in Strabane, Northern Ireland with a UK base at Leigh in Lancashire, were founded in 1918 and are renowned as a leading manufacturer of gaelic football and hurling merchandise.

They have recently moved into the rugby market.
