Former Navy worker 'exposed to asbestos'

AN 86-YEAR-OLD man died of a lung disease after being exposed to asbestos while working for the Navy, an inquest heard.

Donald Gregory of Northwood Street, Stapleford, was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2006.

An inquest at Nottingham Coroner's Court heard his condition deteriorated until his death on May 7 at the Queen's Medical Centre. Notts coroner Dr Nigel Chapman recorded a verdict of death by industrial disease.
