Naked woman to protest against fur trade
A NOTTINGHAM woman is to take part in a protest against the fur trade - by laying in the street naked.
Katherine Klemm, 26, will join around 100 people in stripping off in Barcelona on Sunday as part of protest organised by Spanish animal welfare group AnimaNaturalis and PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
Ms Klemm, who currently works in Spain as a business English teacher, said she wanted to take a stand against animal cruelty by taking her clothes off in Plaza del Rei.
She said: "By showing some of my skin, I hope to save animals' skins.
"I'll gladly expose my naughty bits if doing so exposes and stops the suffering of these beautiful animals."
A spokeswoman for PETA said animals on fur farms could be confined in crowded and dirty cages and could be gassed or electrocuted.
