Musician Alvin Lee dies after surgery
NOTTS musician Alvin Lee, a member of the band Ten Years After, has died.
He passed away yesterday after complications following routine surgery. His family made the announcement through his official website.
Mr Lee, who was 68, was a founder member of the group which enjoyed worldwide fame in the late 1960s and early 1970s, playing Woodstock in 1969.
In a statement his family said: "We have lost a wonderful, much-loved father and companion.

In recent years Mr Lee had been living in Spain having grown up in Wollaton Park.
