POLICE have released a picture of a man found dead in a bungalow near Clumber Park.

Officers launched a murder investigation after Nigel Bacon, who is also known as Neil, was found with stab wounds at Keeper's Cottage, Normanton Larches, just after 7pm on Wednesday.

He was treated at the scene, but died at 8.30pm in Bassetlaw District General Hospital.

Detectives have cordoned off the area surrounding the bungalow, near to the A614 turning for Bothamsall – opposite the main entrance to the park.

Teams have been searching the area.

An incident room has been set up as part of the investigation.
