Murder accused remanded in custody after discovery of man's body on farmland in north Notts

THREE people appeared in court today accused of murder after the body of a man was discovered on farmland in Everton, north Notts.

Matthew Duffy, 22, of Sussex Street, Doncaster; Angela Dowling, 47, of Windmill Avenue, Conisbrough, South Yorkshire; and 31-year-old Stephen Schofield, of the same address, were remanded in custody this morning at Nottingham Crown Court.

Judge John Milmo QC adjourned for a plea and case management hearing to take place on June 3.

The defendants were arrested last week after the body of 50-year-old Alan Easton, of Dunbartonshire, Scotland, was discovered.

They appeared before magistrates in Mansfield on Friday to appear at the Crown Court today.
