Moussi: Forest can't afford to dwell on last season

NOTTINGHAM Forest must forget their exploits of last season and focus on finding their form again now, Guy Moussi said today.

The French midfielder admits the Reds’ target is to forge a repeat of their promotion push in the Championship.

But he says they have to work twice as hard now to rediscover the level of performance that took them to third place.

“Last season we did pretty well, but we need to forget about last season and start to think about this one,” said Moussi.

“We do not need to live in the past. We need to work harder this season to make sure the future is bright.

“We need to concentrate, to be focused and work even harder than last season, otherwise we will not improve.”

Moussi believes Forest’s performances have been better than their results might suggest, as Billy Davies’ side go in search of their first win of the new campaign.

And he feels that killing opposition sides off when they have the opportunity is vital.

“It is not massively bad when we are continuing to improve, by drawing these games,” he said. “And I think that, in the next game, we are going to win.

“We had a lot of opportunities against Burnley, Leeds and Reading.

“We could have killed the games, but we did not. We just need to learn to kill the games earlier on, when we have the opportunities.

“But we came back against Reading, from behind. That shows that we are mentally strong enough.

“We need to concentrate. If we can do that, we will be OK.

“But there are no easy sides in this division. It does not matter who we are playing, we have to have the same level of concentration.

“We play well, but we need to be confident and we need to score more goals.”

“all this speculation, what a load of rubbish, wait and see. i expect davis to go, but not yet, i dont know who will take over it wont be tony mowbery, more chance of david pleat. they want davis to resine then they dont have to pay him and its not there fault. i herd martin oneal was ia the ground over the weekend but i dont belive that either, hes just left villa becuse of lack of transfers so why would come to forest where he will find things just the same. your forest fans so you should be used to the mushroom treatment by now”

Such wit ,your so sharp you might need to be careful incase you cut yourself.
What I was trying to say was when you look at the fact that ND lost so much money supporting Platt you can understand why he is still wary.Could you afford to lose another 30 million..no thought not.
As for a certain chief exec what is unusual is for someone like Colin Fray to actually infer that he could be the problem.
We shall all see in time ..”
