A RACING team is seeking sponsors to help enhance its chances in this season's Funcup series.

The multi-driver series is the largest endurance motor racing competition in Europe with six rounds held at all the major racetracks in the UK and Ireland.

And Stephen Dodd, from Beeston, is after sponsors for the Central Motorsport team.

The team has been competing in the Funcup for five seasons and this year Dodd will be joining forces with Canadian champion Nigel Gleeson in races which last at least four hours.

The series kicks off on April 24 at Snetterton before moving on to Rockingham and Silverstone.

The cars are built to a single-seater specification, with a Beetle-style body and most are powered by an 1800cc engine, reaching 140mph.
