NOTTS County Ladies U11s edged out Derby County in a five-goal thriller, winning 3-2.

Two youngsters missed out through illness and before the end of the game, Nell Bemrose fell victim to the bug as they finished with ten girls.

Notts went behind following a goalmouth scramble but Rebecca Shelton equalised from the edge of the box.

The defence of Emma Hodges, Megan Green, Phoebe Harris and Lucy Walton were worked hard to keep the Rams at bay.

But Derby finally found a break through to edge 2-1 ahead.

The dynamic duo in goal, Siobhan Simms and Jasmine Hallam changed places at the start of the final two quarters, this was to be the turning point of the game.

Simms went and found herself with only the goalkeeper to beat and slotted it into the goal before firing the winner.

Player of the match was Rebecca Shelton.

But the U13s went down 5-2 at home to league leaders Calverton.

The home side took an early lead following a great run and composed finish from Lisa Miller.

Calverton levelled almost immediately and it was level at the break.

The second-half saw a ten-minute spell where they conceded four goals in quick succession, but to their credit, they picked themselves back up and Amy Wainwright scored the goal of the game with a terrific long range strike.

Player of the match for the under-13s side was Kaitlyn O'Dowd.

Notts County's Ladies senior development team travelled to Teversal Ladies in their first ever Women's County cup tie.

It was a determined performance but Notts went down 3-0.
