Down Memory Lane - 100 years ago: Nottingham Forest are sunk by Lillycrop
Forest: Only 6,000 were in the crowd to see Forest play at Barnsley. The lone goal came 20 minutes into the second half when a long shot from Worksop-born Bartrop was tipped away by Lemoine and Lillycrop followed up to score.
Forest's game at Chesterfield was postponed due to snow. Chesterfield turned down an offer of £400 to move the match to Nottingham.
Notts County: Notts went down 4-0 to Man City at Hyde Road. It could have been more but for some great goalkeeping from Iremonger.
Angling: Well known Nottingham angler, FWK Wallis, took 278 grayling from a flooded River Avon in nine days. He also had chub to over 6lb and perch to 3lb on maggot. Wallis was president of the Nottingham Wellington & Long Eaton associations.
