McParland: Forte's pace will tear defences apart
JONATHAN Forte will tear League Two defences apart with his electrifying pace, Notts County boss Ian McParland said today.
The 22-year-old striker moved to Meadow Lane on a one-month loan deal from League One side Scunthorpe United yesterday.

And with Jamie Forrester only returning to training yesterday after a back injury, Forte looks set to make his debut alongside Delroy Facey at Barnet tomorrow.
McParland believes he will inject some much-needed pace into the Magpies' attack.
He said: "I feel we have lacked somebody with lightning pace up front to play with Delroy or Sean Canham.
"The strikers have done very well for us. Sean gets hold of the ball, Del is more or less the same kind of player and we have got little Jamie Forrester, who's a clever player.
"But we have been lacking pace so to freshen things up we have brought in a quick player to play up front with one of our big lads.
"I hope his speed will unsettle defences, and if he is chasing the ball in behind it can take the pressure of the team a little bit.
"Hopefully it will good for him and good for us. It is just short-term at the minute. They think very highly of him and want him back.
"He gives us options too because he can play through the middle, on the left side and on the right.
"I just hope we can win the next couple of games and get on a little run and kick on from there."
Forte made a substitute appearance for the Iron in a 2-1 win against Notts in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Glanford Park on September 2.
But after making 38 appearances for Scunthorpe in the Championship last season, he has only started one league game this term.
Forte said: "Sometimes you think you should be playing and the manager thinks otherwise, but that's football.
"You have just got to keep your head down and do your best.
"They (Scunthorpe) have been fantastic. They are winning every week so it's hard to get into the team."
