Mayor unveils new Beeston sports grounds

FIRST CUT: The Mayor of Broxtowe, Coun John Longdon, opens the Hetley Pearson recreation ground and sports facilities in Beeston. He was joined by the Mayoress, Margaret Longdon; representatives from David Wilson Homes (back left) Steve Wright and (middle left) Amanda Gaye; and (back right) Joe Langford and (middle right) Beth Pettipher from the Pearson Centre for Young People. The recreation ground is in Queens Road West and was a joint project between Broxtowe Borough Council, David Wilson Homes and the Pearson Centre. Representatives from the organisations joined the Mayor and members of Beeston's 17th Nottingham Boys' Brigade and 30th Nottingham Girls' Brigade. Facilities include clubhouse, football pitch and two junior football pitches. C250809DAM3-1
