PREMIERSHIP leaders Marquis of Rileys went four points clear at the top of the Nottingham & District Pool League after beating March Hare 5-4.

Pairs champion Malc Marriott hit an eight-baller for March Hare but Tony Furness took the last leg.

Rileys Ponda had a 6-3 home win over the Cricketers, Greg Mason making sure of the points. Basford Hall MW hammered Chesterfield Arms 9-0 and bottom side Test Match had a 7-2 win over the Bank.

Gregory moved within two points of First Division leaders Hubble Bar after they claimed their at home to the Queen Adelaide A. Old Volunteer cruised to a 7-2 home win over the Pheasant Inn, Matt Thomas taking the match-winning frame.

Hooters Rileys pipped Phoenix Reds 5-4, Alan Beirne and Rob Renshaw doing the damage.

Division Two leaders Vernon Vipers had a 7-2 home over Top Spot Club, Gregory Mike and Sean Brightman clinching the match.

Jolly Farmers went back to the top of Division Three after overcoming the Nags Head 6-3, while Mad Rabbit had a 5-4 win over Rileys Rockets.

Cavendish stayed on course for promotion from Division Four with a 6-3 win at Queen Adelaide B, Liam Harrison doing the damage.

Pride of Erin had a 5-4 win over Meadow Covert, Brian Wade sealing it, and Riverway overcame Park Tavern 5-4, with Martin Wilson confirming the points.

Division Five leaders Greyfriars Club sealed promotion after winning 6-3 at the Sir Charles Napier.

Poets Corner cruised to a 7-2 home win over Newcastle Arms, Lee Thomson clinching the match.
